Internet and the lack of any communication with the outside world while you're up in the air, during air travel, is something that business travelers and all sorts of travelers have to come to grips with, in some way. But here you have an airline that's doing something about this pent up demand. Virgin America is one of the first airlines in the world to offer free internet access, Wi-Fi on selected flights. It's an amazing thing, because travelers sort of have it in their mind that when they buckle in, that's it: zero communication, and you go into dark mode, wherein you really can't interact with anybody. And if you're flying across the country, and you're in the plane for the better part of the day, that really does put a damper on your business activities. So having a little bit of a connection does wonders, and it has the positive byproduct of putting restless passengers to ease.
